Most of the children brought a contribution which made a beautifully
colourful display in church. Rev Adrian Leighton led an engaging
service with some of the older children reading lessons and
participating in Adrian's activities.
A group of older children helped distribute some of the produce
around the needy in the village, the remainder going on to
be given out by the local Salvation Army.

Class 1 have been working on the theme 'Ourselves'
this term and part of their Design Technology work has involved
making healthy choices from fruit and vegetables. They spent
several weeks looking at, smelling, tasting, and cutting up
the fruits and vegetables, then set about making various salads,
soups and these wonderfully decorated plates. The designs were
the children's own and they had great fun deciding which ingredients
would best suit them.
This unit of work culminated in pumpkin soup
just before half term - they weren't all very sure whether
they were going to try it until someone said "yummy"
and that was that!
