
Norton in Hales Bowling Club.
Situated in beautiful surroundings off Bearstone Road, Norton in Hales. The Bowling Club always welcomes new members and is an ideal
place to learn a new sport, relaxing but competitive. Bowls is suitable for both children
and adults, whether you want a hobby or to take part in team matches, come and give it
a try.
Annual Membership is £25 for adults and £5 for under 18s.

The Green will open from mid to late March for pre- season practice nights. The
weekly practice session will now be on a Saturday morning 10.00-12.00. The Green is
available at any time for members to use. Wednesday evening is reserved for players
wanting to have a game or a practice.
Any local organisations can contact The Club should they wish to organise a bowling
afternoon for their members, we can provide some refreshments, games and fun. We
also have some advertising space in the form of plaques which local companies can use
to advertise their business for a small charge.
Facilities
The village is lucky to boast an immaculate crown-green bowling facility as
part of the community sports field. Members of the club have coached children from the
village school in the skills of Crown Green Bowls for the last 15 years.
Leagues
As well as being available for social bowls, the club also has a number of
teams entered in the local leagues, respectively:
The Market Drayton League (A team plays Friday evening, B team plays Monday evening).
The Whitchurch League (A team plays Tuesday evening, B team plays Thursday evening).
The Market Drayton Seniors League (team plays Wednesday afternoons).
Club competitions are run throughout the summer, usually on Sunday afternoons. All
Members and their guests are welcome to have a go. The competitions are;

Brian Marchant Memorial Trophy
Keaystone Ladies and Gents individual competitions
Chelmick Cup
Wendy House Cup (played throughout the season)
Charlie Harvey Trophy (midweek senior citizens)
The club also plays in an annual event, the “Coverwell Competition”, with the Corbett
Arms with a £250 prize at stake!
