Mrs Jo Spencer-Jones from Shrawardine near Shrewsbury was the judge of the Parish Council’s ‘Best Front Garden Competition 2020’.
Mrs Spencer-Jones is a very keen gardener, having just created a wonderful garden at her new house over the last couple of years and she has been heavily involved with the creation of Horatio's Garden at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital at Gebowen, Oswestry. This is a sensory garden designed and built for the long term patients, many of whom have suffered life changing injuries, to enjoy being outside. Jo is more than happy to come and talk to the village at some stage when circumstances allow.
Judging took place on Tuesday afternoon 11th August 2020 and here is Parish Council Chairman Peter Eardley welcoming Mrs Jo Spencer-Jones and some of the gardens in Norton and Betton judged that afternoon.
