A Gymnastic meeting

The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury recently held an event to celebrate 30 years of the Charity's existence. Many villagers will recall that Ben Walton of Norton in Hales trained at the Wingate Centre and spent 20 years as a special needs gymnast, winning national awards and travelling internationally with the National Display Squad.

Ben was a guest at the 30-year celebration event and was excited to meet Bryony Page, the mainstream national trampolining champion who went on to win a Silver Medal for Great Britain at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Bryony started her trampolining career at The Wingate Centre.

Ben and Bryony are pictured together and Ben was particularly excited to have Bryony's Olympic medal around his neck for the photograph.
